As we are a small hostel, cancellations and no-shows really affect us hard therefore our deposit and cancellation policy as follows:

Deposit:
- For stays of just 1 night. 100% deposit of the first night is required upon reservation.
- For stays more than 1 night 50% deposit of the total upon reservation. The remaining 50% + taxes (9%) to be paid upon arrival.

Cancellation:
- 1st night will be charged at 100% for cancellation or no show.
- Of the remaining balance, 75% of the deposit will be refunded if cancelled before 14 days before arrival.
- Within 14 days of arrival, no refund is offered.
- A no-show on the first night will be regarded as a cancellation of the entire period.

Example Deposit:
A room that rents for $45 USD + 9% tax per night and a client intends to stay 7 nights from the 1-7th of February.
- Total will be $45 USD x 7 = $315 USD + 9% tax = $315 USD + $28.35 USD = $343.35 USD.
- Deposit will be 50% of $315 USD = $157.50 USD
- Balance to be paid upon arrival will be $157.50 USD + $28.35 USD = $185.85 USD

Example Cancellation:
Cancellation the 10th of January (i.e more than 14 days prior to arrival)
- 1st night will be charged at full rate, i.e. $45 USD, leaving a balance of the deposit of $157.50 USD – $45 USD = $112.50 USD. Of this balance 75% will be refunded equivalent to $112.50 USD x 0.75 = $84.38 USD
- Cancellation the 20th of January (i.e less than 14 days prior to arrival) - No refunds of your deposit.
